The counting of votes is complete in the elections for the twenty six district councils in Northern Ireland. Both the Ulster Unionist Party (UUP) and Social Democratic and Labour Party (SDLP) have increased first preference votes, while the Democratic Unionist Party (DUP), Sinn Féin and the Alliance Party were down.
