While in Moscow, the Taoiseach, Charles Haughey, discussed using the Verolme Dockyard in Cork for repair work on a large Russian fishing fleet. It emerged today that American and Norwegian interests have also made proposals about the yard, which have been discussed with the Departments of Finance and Industry and Commerce.
