Advice from the Central Statistics Office as the country prepares for Census Night.

Tom Linehan from the Central Statistics Office (CSO) advises people to read the census form carefully before filling it out. Over the past few weeks, 3,500 enumerators have been distributing forms to every individual household in the country.

Everybody who spends the night in the household should be included on the form, irrespective of whether they're usually resident or a visitor.

The CSO also assures people that the confidentiality of the information provided is guaranteed by law. No other government department has access to the forms or the information provided by individuals and households.

The enumerators will collect the completed forms from 14 April onwards.
