RTÉ Television today unveiled a big festive line-up of programming with something for everyone during the Christmas season.

TV series School Around the Corner returns for a very special programme this Christmas, along with PJ Gallagher's The Great Big Surprise Party, TV50: Nighthawks Rehashed, Mrs Brown’s Boys and I’ve Got Your Back hosted by Brian Dowling.

Blockbusters on RTÉ this Christmas include Walk The Line, The Bourne Ultimatum, The Family Stone, Duplicity, About A Boy, Speed 2: Cruise Control, Assault on Precinct 13, Indiana Jones & The Kingdom of The Crystal Skull, I Love You Man, Blades of Glory, Inglorious Basterds and Fight Club.

Younger viewers have lots to look forward to as Christmas arrives at all their favourite programmes (OMG! Jedward's Dream Factory, Life’s Like This, elev8, Two Tube, Christmas Special Beo Show, The Curious World of Professor Fun and Dr. Dull and The Magic Circus Show.

For lovers of food and lifestyle programming the festive line up is sure to appeal with Christmas specials from many of RTÉ Television’s favourite food series (Rachel Allen Christmas Cake Diaries; Kitchen Hero Christmas Special; Kevin Dundon’s Christmas Made Easy; Room to Improve Christmas Special; Don’t Tell The Bride, Happily Married).

Sports fans will be spoiled for choice as RTÉ brings a variety of great sports documentaries and live coverage (Jimmy’s Winnin’ Matches; When Ali Came To Ireland; The RTÉ Sports Awards; Rory McIlroy:The Interview; First; Euro 2012: The Score; Racing From Leopardstown; RaboDirect PRO12 and Premier Soccer Saturday.

Music fans have much to look forward to over Christmas with Michael Bublé: Home for the Holidays; Joe Dolan - Sweet Little Rock ‘n’ Roller; For One Night Only; Stepping Out With Katherine Jenkins; Mumford & Sons Road to Redrocks and Amy Winehouse: The Day She Came to Dingle.
