RTÉ 2fm presenter Rick O'Shea was crowned the inaugural Celebrity Mastermind champion on TV3 on Sunday night.
O'Shea won the competition with a final score of 32 points. His specialist subject was the Solar System.
Along with a trophy, he also received an extra €5,000 for his chosen charity, Brainwave - The Irish Epilepsy Association.
In the final, Alan Shortt was fifth with 18 points; Gavin Duffy was fourth with 19 points; Anton Savage came third with 21 and Abie Philbin Bowman was runner-up with 24 points.
