Having won radio play with two fine singles, I Won’t Worry and Add It Up, Dublin act This Club follow through with a set of fresh and infectious pop on their effervescent debut. The title comes from the style of West African music that has served Vampire Weekend so well but there’s plenty of This Club’s own sense of fun and sparkle on songs that also nod to the tropical guitars and Balearic beats of Friendly Fires and even the romanticism of French duo, Phoenix. Up is a brilliantly crafted tune bursting with digital handclaps and falsetto vocals fed through auto-tune, Push belongs on daytime radio, and there's even some soul boy social commentary on You Lie You Get More. With this giddy rush of primary colours, This Club have pulled something really delightful out of the bag.
