Voice UK act blasts show on Twitter

J. Marie Cooper, who fans watched get eliminated during yesterday's The Voice UK episode, has taken to Twitter to voice her opinion of the show.

She began by writing "Hey peeps, there was a lot cut from my final edit of The Voice, including any emotion or story I might have had... As much as I'm ok with it I don't feel I was portrayed entirely correctly..."

The singer responded to criticism that she already has enough experience, as it transpired she performed on Strictly Come Dancing last series. "I have experience as a singer yes, but needed this opportunity too. I am still working for £7.50 an hour... So the whole 'she's so experienced' thing is a bit much. I am but don't think that should be a reason not to go through (sic)".

Griffin and Cooper with mentor will.i.am

The 27-year-old frontrunner lost her battle round against 17-year-old Sophie Griffin from Co. Tyrone. Both singers, from team will.i.am, performed 'Firework' by Katy Perry.

Cooper continued her Twitter musings, writing "I have a lot of love for all of the contestants on The Voice, and I still support the show. But I'm real and always gonna tell it like it is. The fact that I am 27, should not have even been a factor. It's called 'The Voice' not 'The Age'. I'm stating facts here. X"

During rehearsals with their mentor

Cooper lost out to Griffin as her mentor felt she had reached her peak, whereas her teenage rival had much more to give, "'She's as good as she can get' also an assumption. Anyone knows as an artist/singer u never stop learning. I always think I can grow more (sic)" she wrote.

Griffin proves victorious, as she gets put through to the live shows over J Marie Cooper

She concluded her tweets with "I have also said all of this to @iamwill . I am a very honest, real person. Always gonna say it as it is. Lots of love everyone xxxx"
