Alec Baldwin has responded to speculation about his 30 Rock future by confirming that he will star in the seventh season.
The Hollywood Reporter says that Baldwin told reporters at the National Press Club in Washington DC that he will continue playing Jack Donaghy in the seventh season, which, he said, will be the show's last.
Baldwin had officially agreed to star in the seventh season earlier this spring, but there was subsequent media speculation about his commitment to the show.
The seventh season is expected to premiere on US television in the autumn.
Later this month on US television, 30 Rock will stage its second live episode – the first aired in October 2010.
