Former EastEnders star Pam St Clement is set to appear on The Daily Show with Claire Byrne and Dáithí O'Sé today.
The actress played Pat Evans in the BBC soap from 1986 to 2012, becoming one of the programme's longest-serving cast members.
She announced her decision to leave EastEnders last July and Pat left the soap following her most dramatic scene on 1 January 2012.
Speaking about her appearance on The Daily Show, Claire said: "I’m really looking forward to meeting Pam in the flesh. She has had such a long acting career with the EastEnders team having appeared in over 2,000 episodes.
“We understand Pam’s mother was Irish so we’ll find out if she’s traced her ancestry here. We’ll also get the low down on her relationship and connection with her on screen husband Frank Butcher."
Dáithí added: “I want to ask Pam how she plans to spend her retirement, what her favourite storylines were through the years and of course we’ll have to have a conversation about those infamous earrings!
“Maybe if I ask her nicely she’ll lend Claire a few pairs to wear on The Daily Show next week!”
The Daily Show is on RTÉ One at 4.50pm Monday to Fridays.
