Lewis Hamilton has said that he and ex-girlfriend Nicole Scherzinger could still get back together in the future, saying he still "loves her very much".
The Formula 1 driver was in a four-year relationship with the X Factor USA judge, and they announced their split last month.
The couple met recently in Los Angeles to catch up, and Hamilton since revealed to The Mirror that he hasn't given up on their relationship yet.
He said: "We had a really good week, a couple of really nice lunches together. We had a really nice dinner together.
"It's very early days and we still have very strong feelings for one another. I still love her very much. So, who knows? Maybe we will be together in the future."
He added that he had a positive state of mind as he prepared for an upcoming race in Sao Paulo, Brazil, saying: "I am very happy to be here, I've great memories of being here in the past. Actually [Nicole] was here with me when I won the world championship, so I've very good memories.
"But certainly it was a really positive few days which meant more to me than a race win, so I came away from LA feeling great and things are different, so that's cool. I've a lot of positive energy at the moment."
