Christopher Chaney, the hacker who is accused of leaking nude photos of Scarlett Johansson has confessed that he is addicted to spying on celebrities.
Chaney, who was arrested in Florida on Sunday in connection with the crime, faces 26 counts of computer hacking, aggravated identity theft and wiretapping.
In an interview with a local Florida news station, he said: "It started as a curiosity. It happened and snowballed. I didn't know how to stop doing it."
The 35-year-old added: "I deeply apologise, I know what I did was probably one of the worst invasions of privacy someone could experience.
“These people don't have privacy to begin with, and I was in that tiny little sliver of privacy they do have."
Johansson spoke publically about the photo leak in September saying that she should be entitled to her privacy regardless of her profession.
