Zsa Zsa Gabor's husband, Frederic Prinz von Anhalt, has said she is doing better after she lost consciousness and was taken to hospital.
According to the Press Association, von Anhalt said Gabor's fever is down, she is responding to antibiotics, and she has opened her eyes, though she has not spoken.
He added that his wife, who is hospitalised at UCLA Ronald Reagan Medical Centre, is a "fighter" and he is confident she will make it.
The 94-year-old Hollywood actress has been hospitalised repeatedly since breaking her hip in July 2010.
