The former X-Factor judge wore her blonde bob in a sophisticated style, sporting a side parting and loose curls.

Ahead of the ceremony, Cole tweeted about her pre-red carpet nerves, writing on her Twitter page: "How can I still be nervous about red carpets after 10 years.. Eeek!"

As she was getting ready for the awards, which were held in London's Grosvenor House Hotel, Cole also asked her Twitter followers to help her choose what earrings to wear.

Also hitting the red carpet were Cole's Girls Aloud bandmates Kimberley Walsh and Nicola Roberts.

Walsh looked fabulous in a plunging black Blugirl by Blumarine dress, while Roberts went for a very girly look in a pink Luisa Beccaria number.

Britain & Ireland's Next Top Model winner Jade Thompson attended the event with the show's host, Elle Macpherson.

Macpherson donned a DSquared 2 black maxi dress, while Thompson showed off her pins in an above-the-knee flirty number.
