Singing sensation Adele has been forced to cancel two dates of her tour due to a chest infection.

The Someone Like You singer was set to perform at Plymouth and Bournemouth but pulled out over the weekend telling her fans that she couldn’t hold any of the notes when she sang.

Taking to her blog, Adele wrote: “Hi guys, sorry about the first 2 shows. I’m as useless as a slug right now, I’ve had a rotten cold since I got home earlier this week and was hoping it wouldn’t make its way onto my chest.

“But unfortunately it has and its leaving me breathless and I can’t hold any of my notes when I sing. And I don’t sound like myself either, because I’m all bunged up and croaky. I’d rather not do a show, then not do a good one for you. I have all day today, tomorrow and Tuesday to get better without having to sing or really do anything so fingers crossed I’ll be better. Love you as always, Adele xx”

Adele lost her voice in May while performing Rolling in the Deep on Dancing With The Stars. At the time she said she had to cancel her second planned performance because, as she put it, her voice was “knackered.”

The star has been having very public problems with her voice lately, obviously holding her throat while performing at the VMA’s and enrolling herself in singing lessons.
