Leaked data from the latest Blu-Ray version of the Star Wars movies indicates several changes, including blinking Ewoks and adding Darth Vader's much derided "Nooooooo!" from Revenge of The Sith into Return of The Jedi.
While some alterations were expected with the new releases, fans have expressed anger over the changes made to Darth Vader's redemption.
In the original version of Return of the Jedi, Darth Vader returns to the light side when he sees the Emperor trying to kill his son, Luke Skywalker. Vader silently lifts the Emperor and throws him down a ventilation shaft. In audio leaked from the Blu-Ray version Vader now says "no" before picking up the Emperor and screams "no" again when he tosses the Emperor. The "no" is reminiscent of the scene at the end of The Revenge of The Sith where Vader screams "Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!" upon hearing of the death of Padmé.
The scene in The Revenge of The Sith received much criticism and has become an internet joke.
Famous Star Wars fan Simon Pegg has been tweeting all day about the changes. He's particularly angry about the change to Vader's redemption saying "Always loved Vader's wordless self sacrifice. Another ****ty, clueless, revision like Greedo and young Anakin's ghost. What a ****ing shame."
Pegg went on to berate George Lucas for his frequent altering of the loved films: "I wonder if George Lucas will ever replace himself with CGI. He should do. He's a muppet."
