Jo Joyner has revealed a number of the surprises ahead for her 'EastEnders' character Tanya Branning ahead of her wedding next week. Warning: Spoiler alert!
As Tanya prepares to marry fiancé Greg Jessop (Stefan Booth), she gets a shock when her mother Cora Cross and sister Rainie turn up in Walford for the ceremony.
Award-winning actress Ann Mitchell has taken on the part of Cora, while Tanya Franks has reprised her role as troubled Rainie.
Speaking of the upcoming Cross family reunion in an interview with Inside Soap, Joyner said: "It's a real treat to have some female solidarity around Tanya.
"It's great for me to work with some women, too - I always seem to be with men!
"Ann Mitchell, who plays Cora, is a fantastic addition to 'EastEnders' and we're lucky to have her.
"I'm really looking forward to the various dynamics which will be in play."
Joyner added that Tanya will give Rainie another chance when she makes her reappearance, despite her turbulent history.
She said: "If there's one quality Tanya has, it's a massive capacity for forgiveness - just look at her and Max. She will always forgive Rainie, whatever she does.
"Tanya's actually quite annoyed to see her and Cora when they first arrive, but because there's so much going on with the preparations, she doesn't really have time to deal with them until after the wedding."
Tanya and Greg's dramatic wedding episodes air on Thursday 14 and Friday 15 April.
