Liam Neeson has reportedly said that his action film 'Taken' has been scaring tourists away from Ireland and the rest of Europe.

In the film, Neeson stars as a dad who hunts down the sex traffickers who abducted his daughter in Paris.

According to The Star, the actor said: "I have parents coming up to me to say, 'I'm never sending my children to Europe'."

The 58-year-old Ballymena actor said that this is the one thing he regrets about the film because he thinks its important for US youths to travel the world.

He added: "The youth have to travel. Please get your daughter and your son a passport and sent them out there."
