Plans for this year's 'X Factor' were reportedly in turmoil last night after bosses realised their London auditions clash with the British Royal Wedding.

Thousands of hopefuls are set to descend on the O2 Arena for three days in April, including the date of Prince William's wedding to Kate Middleton, Friday 29.

The Sun reports that the British Royal Family will be just five miles away at the wedding however the knock-on effects of the event will be enormous.

Airspace will be shut down, preventing producers flying judges in by helicopter as they normally do plus staff walkie talkies won't work in an anti-terror move.

Just as Simon Cowell is making his final choices for judges, producers have to return to the drawing board on a logistics front.
A security source said: "They've a massive headache."
