Westlife star Mark Feehily has dismissed reports suggesting that the group seriously considered splitting up last year.
According to a report in Daily Star, Feehily previously said: "We talked about it long and hard last April. We came close to throwing in the towel."
In a posting on his Twitter page, the singer later said: "Westlife were not close to splitting up in April 2009."
"We reached a Y (fork) in the road&said we MIGHT AS WELL stop unless we did it right! X (sic)".
