The stars of new RTÉ programme 'Fade Street' have insisted that the reality show is "completely not scripted".

The show, which is being billed as 'Ireland's answer to 'The Hills', focuses on the lives of four young women, named Vogue, Cici, Dani and Louise.

Speaking to RTÉ TEN, Dani said: "From the very beginning, our producers and directors said 'It's real'. This is reality."

"It's done in the same kind of structure as 'The Hills', you know, like the set-up of it and the way it's filmed but it is real."

"This is actually real... So I think we'd be disappointed if we had to learn lines."

Louise said: "I'm not an actress. I couldn't act to save my life. If you put me on the stage I'd probably cry."

Vogue also dismissed scripting claims, saying: "I wouldn't do it if I had to learn lines. It's too hard."

Cici said: "It's completely effortless for us to do this, because they're documenting our lives."

"We don't have to do anything to fulfil their needs. So it's completely not scripted."

Watch the first episode of 'Fade Street' this Thursday, 11 November, at 9pm on RTÉ Two.
