'Strictly Come Dancing' contestant Kara Tointon is reported to have been asked to delay starting training over concerns that she may had an advantage in the BBC One dance show.
The Daily Star reports that Tointon has been given a one-week ban as she has already clocked up hours of training while competing in and winning a Sports Relief special back in 2008.
A source is quoted as saying "Everyone working on the show recognised that Kara had an unfair advantage. Even for those who have danced before, ballroom is a completely different discipline, so the fact that she's got a week's training under her belt might well have outraged some viewers."
It was revealed on Saturday night that the actress will dance with new professional dancer Artem Chigvintsev.
The other couples are Actress Felicity Kendall and Vincent Simone, DJ Goldie and Kristina Rihanoff and Gavin Henson and Katya Virshilas. Former footballer Peter Shilton is teamed with Erin Boag, Patsy Kensit partners Robin Windsor and film star Jimi Mistry dances with Flavia Cacace.
Tina O'Brien dances with Jared Murillo, Pamela Stephenson with James Jordan, while Scott Maslen takes to the dance floor with Natalie Lowe. Popstar Michelle Williams is dancing with Brendan Cole and TV presenter Matt Baker is paired with Aliona Vilani. Paul Daniels dances with Ola Jordan and Ann Widdecombe will perform with Anton Du Beke.
