Irish authors Emma Donoghue and Paul Murray are among the authors 'longlisted' for this year's Man Booker Prize.
Donoghue is nominated for her book 'Room', while Murray is nominated for 'Skippy Dies'.
They are joined on the longlist by: Peter Carey ('Parrot and Oliver in America'), Helen Dunmore ('The Betrayal'), Damon Galgut ('In a Strange Room'), Howard Jacobson ('The Finkler Question'), Andrea Levy ('The Long Song'), Tom McCarthy ('C'), David Mitchell ('The Thousand Autumns of Zacob de Zoet'), Lisa Moore ('February'), Rose Tremain ('Trespass'), Christos Tsiolkas ('The Slap') and Alan Warner ('The Stars in the Bright Sky').
The shortlist will be announced on Tuesday 7 September, with the winner announced at a ceremony in London on Tuesday 12 October.
