RTÉ television presenter Lucy Kennedy has given birth to her first child, a baby boy.
The baby, who will be named Jack, reportedly weighed 8lb 13oz when he was born on Monday night at the Coombe Hospital in Dublin.
A statement, released on behalf of Lucy Kennedy and her husband Richard Governey, said: "Mother and baby are doing well, with much thanks to the wonderful doctors and midwives of the Coombe."
"Lucy and Richard would like to thank everyone for their good wishes."
