A former 'Emmerdale' resident is due to make an unwelcome return to the soap.
Billy Hopwood, currently in prison for killing Vic Windsor during an armed raid on the Post Office on Christmas Day, 1998, is about to be released.
The soap's bosses have revealed the character will head straight for the village in the hope of preventing his younger son, Daz, being adopted by Jack and Diane.
It is not just the Sugdens who will be unhappy to see the jailbird - his arrival will have a big impact on his victim's wife and daughters as well.
Actor David Crellin will be reprising his role as Billy.
He first appeared as the character in 1997 and was last seen in the Yorkshire-based serial in 2003.
His other credits include 'Clocking Off' and 'Heartbeat'.
'Coronation Street' fans may also recognise him as Jimmy Clayton, the violent gangster who terrorised Steve McDonald in 2005.
