Nadine Coyle, who was thrown out of Irish Popstars band Six after lying about her age, has made it into ITV's 'Popstars: The Rivals' girlband.
The 17-year-old singer from Derry joins Cheryl Tweedy, Kimberley Walsh, Nicola Roberts and Sarah Hardy in the new band, called Girls Aloud.
Girls Aloud are set to release a double A side single, 'The Sound Of The Underground', and a cover of E17's 'Stay Another Day'.
The girls will compete with One Voice, the boyband created on the show, for the UK's Christmas number one.
Both the boy and girl bands will perform their debut singles on 7 December on ITV.
Meanwhile, ITV has rejected claims that the phone poll for 'Popstars: The Rivals' was rigged after some viewers said they were unable to register a vote for their favourite, Javine Hylton. Javine lost the final place to Sarah Harding.
