Swim Ireland has announced today that Chris Bryan, Fiona Doyle, Sycerika McMahon and Barry Murphy will represent Ireland at the World Championships in Barcelona at the end of July.

Although only Freestyle was included in the consideration standards for the 50 metre events, Swim Ireland has decided to select Murphy on his time of 27.53 seconds in the 50m Breaststroke from the Irish Nationals in April, which was below the FINA ‘A’ Standard and ranks him 10th in the world this year for that event.

Murphy will also travel to Rome in June to compete at the Sette Colli International in preparation for the Worlds.
