Republic of Ireland boss Martin O'Neill has injury worries over five players ahead of Friday’s Euro 2016 qualifier play-off first leg with Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Rob Elliot, John O'Shea, Paul McShane, Alan Judge, and Shane Long will all be assessed by their respective clubs before reporting for international duty.
O’Shea is suspended for the first leg in Zenica, but O’Neill will be hoping that the veteran centre-half is fit for the return at the Aviva Stadium on Monday, 16 November.
However, his Sunderland club boss Sam Allardyce said on Saturday that he doubted the Waterford man would be fit after he missed Saturday's defeat to Southampton.
"I don't think so, but he will be talking to them," said Allardyce. "I wouldn't have thought that, with the recurrence in his hamstring, he would be anywhere near available.
"He's not been able to get fit for us in two weeks, so he's not going to get fit with a hamstring in 10 days. Sadly for us today, he was missing and sadly for them."
Long scored the historic winner over world champions Germany that helped propel Ireland into the play-offs with a third place finish in Group D.
But the Southampton striker hasn’t played since the defeat to Poland in Warsaw in Ireland’s last game of the qualifying group.
On Sunday evening O’Neill reduced his squad to 30 players ahead the two-legged play-off.
Goalkeeper Shay Given (knee) and striker David McGoldrick are both unavailable due to injury.
The other players to be cut from the original 39-man squad are Anthony Stokes, Simon Cox, Paul Green, Eunan O’Kane, Anthony Pilkington, Greg Cunningham and Adam Rooney.
The squad will report for training on Monday afternoon at the FAI National Training Centre.
