FAI Cup holders St Patrick’s Athletic have signed Togo international Cyril Kossi Guedjé ahead of tomorrow's 2015 SSE Airtricity League season kick-off.

The 22-year-old joins the Saints having previously played with Turkish side Boluspor, and having played with Togolese side Agnes.

‘Cyril’, who can play in midfield or as a striker, could be in line to
make his debut against Shamrock Rovers on Friday should he receive international clearance in time.

St Patrick’s Athletic manager Liam Buckley expressed his delight at securing the player’s signature.

“I’m delighted to welcome Cyril to the club," said Buckley. "He has been training with us for a number of weeks, and has impressed us.

"I feel he will be a great addition to the team and can give us something a little extra over the season, while it’s great to have secured his transfer as he had options to join other Dublin clubs but opted to sign for us.”

Guedjé has five international caps to his name and has scored two goals scored for Togo.
