Cork City's Alan Bennett's appeal to the FAI against the yellow card he received against Waterford United was upheld and he is free to play in Sunday's FAI Carlsberg Cup final against Drogheda United.
The yellow card put him over the penalty points for bookings and he received a one-match ban which was due to come into effect this weekend.
However, the club argued that the wrong player had been booked. As TV footage seemed to confirm this the appeal was successful and Bennett is now free to play on Sunday.
The match is live on RTÉ TWO from 2.55pm.
