Cork City, who last won the FAI Cup in 1998 are through to the semi-finals of the competition after a spirited 3-1 victory against ten-man Sligo Rovers at Turner's Cross.
Rovers showed why they are the best team in the First Division by taking the lead after 40 minutes. Kapono Low fired home after a brilliant save from City goalkeeper Michael Devine.
Cork were level right on half-time when captain Dan Murray headed home a Neale Fenn corner.
The game turned on 50 minutes when scorer Low was dismissed for bringing down man of the match Roy O'Donovan.
Cork's dominance grew and John O'Flynn, who had his nose broken in an off-the-ball incident, gave Cork the lead after 78 minutes with a well-struck shot.
George O'Callaghan's penalty ended the game as a contest after O'Donovan was upended in the area.
