Sligo Rovers defender Alan Keane has announced his retirement from football at the age of 31.
Keane won a league title, three FAI Cups, a Setanta Cup and a League Cup to become one of the most decorated players in Sligo's history.
He said: "It's a decision that I feel is right for me personally and for my family.
"I can look back on my career with lots of pride and joy, be thankful at being given the opportunity to achieve every young boy's dream in becoming a professional footballer."
He said his seven years at Sligo provided "memories I will cherish for the rest of my life".
The new SSE Airtricity Premier Division season starts on 4 March.
