Jose Mourinho has yet to remain at a club as manager for four full seasons, and on Thursday was sacked by Chelsea after two and a half campaigns back at Stamford Bridge.
As Mourinho no doubt plots his next move, here's his nomadic managerial record.
PORTO
January 2002 - June 2004, two and a half seasons
Mourinho made his name during a two-year spell with Porto during which he won two league titles, the UEFA Cup and, most memorably, the Champions League in his final season to earn a move to the Premier League.
CHELSEA
June 2004 - September 2007, three (and a bit) seasons
Mourinho branded himself 'the Special One' on his arrival in Stamford Bridge and won the title in his first two seasons at the club. He also won the FA Cup and two League Cups, but the European success owner Roman Abramovich craved eluded him and he left suddenly, just weeks into the start of the 2007/8 season.
INTER MILAN
June 2008 - May 2010, two seasons
The Portuguese returned to management in Serie A and won the title in his first season before leading Inter to the league, cup and Champions League treble in his second. The Champions League final win over Bayern Munich was his last game in charge before leaving for Real Madrid.
REAL MADRID
May 2010 - May 2013, three seasons
Mourinho was Madrid's 11th manager in seven years and his side beat Barcelona in the Copa del Rey final in his first season. He ended Barca's domination of the Primera Division by winning the league in his second season. He was unable to conquer Europe, though, and failed to win a single trophy in his final campaign before leaving by mutual consent.
CHELSEA
June 2013 - December 2015, two and a half seasons
Mourinho finished third in the league in his first season back at Chelsea before winning the title the following year and then signing a new deal to keep him at the club until 2019. But the 2015/16 campaign started miserably and he became embroiled in a succession of controversies. Poor results ultimately resulted in the end.
