The Republic of Ireland will take on Slovakia in an international friendly at the Aviva Stadium on Tuesday 29 March as they continue their preparations for Euro 2016.

The game will be the fifth meeting between the teams - having met four times in European Championship qualifying - and it caps off an Easter week that also sees Martin O'Neill's side host Switzerland at the Aviva on Good Friday, 25 March.

Slovakia, who are 26th in the FIFA World Rankings, qualified for Euros after finishing second in Group C and were paired with England, Wales, and Russia for next summer's finals.

Another friendly game for the Irish, with the opponent yet to be confirmed, will take place in Dublin at the end of May.

Following Saturday's draw in Paris, Ireland were placed in Group E along with Sweden, Belgium, and Italy for the 24-team finals next summer.
