The Republic of Ireland have been drawn with Bosnia and Herzegovina in their Euro 2016 play-off.
Martin O'Neill's men will be away for the first leg on Friday 13 November, with the second at the Aviva Stadium on Monday 16 November.
Ireland qualified for the play-offs after finishing third in Group D and they were unseeded for the draw which took place in Nyon, Switzerland.
Bosnia and Herzegovina finished third in Group B behind Belgium and Wales, winning five of their 10 group games with Manchester City's Edin Dzeko their main danger-man with seven goals.
Early defeats against Cyprus and Israel hurt the Bosnians but they finished strongly, winning five of their last six games and beating Wales along the way.
Ireland boss O’Neill will be without the suspended Jon Walters and John O'Shea for the first leg and is expecting a tough encounter.
He said: “If there’s any slight advantage to be had maybe it’s our second game being played in Dublin. But that said we need to perform out in Bosnia to make sure that second game means something and that will not be easy but we’re there and we have a chance.
"We will give it absolutely everything we have got to get to France"
"We've got a few problems to negotiate, we've got a couple of suspensions that are there. Who knows what might happen in the next couple of weeks – injuries are always a possibility.
"Whatever comes we will go for it. We will give it absolutely everything we have got to get to France.
"We had terrific results against Germany, the draw out in Germany and a home win, and because that's so recent we can draw real confidence from it."
O'Neill is still hopeful of having Shane Long available after the Southampton striker picked up an ankle ligament injury during Ireland's final group game, a 2-1 defeat to Poland.
"We have a couple of weeks. I spoke to Shane a few days ago and he’s optimistic. Like anything else sometimes with these injuries you’re going well and four or five days when the injury doesn’t seem to be healing as quickly as you’d imagine."
Ireland have met Bosnia and Herzegovina just once in May 2012 when they came out on top 1-0, thanks to a Shane Long goal.
Bosnia and Heregovina defender Mensur Mujdza believes that his side's recent games against Wales will stand them in good stead against Ireland.
"There was a chance we'd be drawn against Ireland, and we were ready for that," he said
"I think that Ireland play similarly to Wales and their latest result against Germany says enough about their quality. It will not be easy, but it wouldn’t be easy against Slovenia, Denmark or Norway either."
In the other ties, Sweden take on Denmark in a Scandinavian derby, Ukraine play Slovenia and Norway tackle Hungary.
