Derry City have parted ways with manager Peter Hutton.
The Candystripes exited the FAI Cup at the quarter-final with a 3-0 defeat to Cork City on Monday night and currently lie 10th in the SSE Airtricity Premier Division, just one point clear of the relegation play-off place.
Hutton, who played over 500 times for Derry, had been in charge since Roddy Collins' departure in May 2014 and led the team to an FAI Cup final appearance last season.
A statement from Derry City said: "The Derry City FC Board Of Directors would like to announce that Peter Hutton has left the club by mutual consent.
"Derry City FC would like to thank Peter for his service, and we wish him well for the future. Paul Hegarty will take over as caretaker manager until the end of the season."
