Leinster look likely to be without Cian Healy as their season reaches its climax, with neck and knee injuries leaving the 28-year-old prop struggling to find fitness.

Healy missed last Saturday's comprehensive Pro12 30-6 defeat to Ulster at the Kingspan Stadium and has endured a frustrating 2016.

His preparation for the Six Nations was badly disrupted by a knee operation he had to undergo in January and he's now facing a nervy wait to see if he can get right for Ireland's upcoming tour to South Africa in June as the visitors look to beat the Springboks in a Test match on their own patch for the first time.

"There's a few niggles that need to be seen to so that he can return to playing the way he can," said Leinster scrum coach John Fogarty.

"We're looking into a little bit of knee, and a little bit of neck stuff so that he can be firing on all cylinders.

"We don't want to just keep trucking him. We want to make sure that those are resolved, so that he can be back to way he can play, and I think Cian is on board with that."

Healy missed his country's opening Six Nations games against Wales and France and only came on as a replacement for the final 20 minutes of the defeat to England.

He was then ruled out of the clash against Italy with a mild hamstring strain.

Leinster, currently third in the table, finish their Pro12 campaign with a home clash against Treviso this weekend before facing into the semi-final play-offs.

With the two sides above them, Connacht and Glasgow, facing off at the Sportsground, Leo Cullen's men should still earn home advantage for the last-four showdown.
