Johnny Sexton will make his return to Leinster colours on Sunday after being named in their starting XV to face Benetton Treviso in Stadio Monigo (3pm Irish time).

The Ireland out-half spent two years at Racing Metro and last played for his home province in the final game of the 2012/2013 season when Leinster beat Ulster in the Pro12 final.

The 30-year-old was injured on Ireland duty against France during the World Cup and missed the quarter-final defeat to Argentina.

There are nine changes in total to the team that beat Glasgow with a host of Irish internationals returning and a debut in the second row for Maori All Blacks player Hayden Triggs.

Dave Kearney, Luke Fitzgerald and Eoin Reddan all start as Leinster look for their fourth league win of the season.

In the forwards, it is a completely new front row as Jack McGrath, Sean Cronin and Tadhg Furlong all start for the first time this season.

Jordi Murphy comes in at openside for his 61st appearance in Leinster colours since his debut in September 2011.

Meanwhile, Isa Nacewa has been installed as Leinster captain following the retirement of Kevin McLoughlin.

Jamie Heaslip and Sexton were also confirmed as the vice-captains for the season.

Leinster: Isa Nacewa (c), Fergus McFadden, Ben Te'o, Luke Fitzgerald, Dave Kearney, Johnny Sexton, Eoin Reddan; Jack McGrath, Sean Cronin, Tadhg Furlong, Hayden Triggs, Mike McCarthy, Rhys Ruddock, Jordi Murphy, Jack Conan.

Replacements: Richardt Strauss, Cian Healy, Marty Moore, Devin Toner, Josh van der Flier, Luke McGrath, Cathal Marsh, Noel Reid.

Following last week's win over Ospreys, head coach Pat Lam has made three changes to his Connacht side for their game at home to Edinburgh tomorrow (6.45pm)

Tom McCartney, Andrew Browne, and captain John Muldoon all return to the pack.

Returning Ireland international Nathan White is named on the bench for what could be his first Pro12 appearance since his World Cup campaign.

Lam said: "While we're happy with where we're at so far, we know it's only going to get tougher, and this week the focus has been all about what we need to do next.

“We are under no illusions of the physical battle we face on Saturday and with that in mind, it's great to be able to bring in the experience of guys like Tom (McCartney), John (Muldoon) and Andrew (Browne).

"Obviously Nathan returning is a big boost for us and we're pleased to have him involved this week. After a busy few games in the World Cup, Robbie (Henshaw) is not far off and we should see him next week against Treviso."

Connacht: Tiernan O'Halloran, Darragh Laeder, Bundee Aki, Craig Ronaldson, Matt Healy, Jack Carty, Kieran Marmion; Denis Buckley, Tom McCartney, Rodney Ah You, Aly Muldowney, Andrew Browne, John Muldoon (captain), Nepia Fox-Matamua, Eoghan Masterson.

Replacements: Dave Heffernan, Finlay Bealham, Nathan White, Quinn Roux, Eoin McKeon, Ian Porter, Rory Parata, Niyi Adeolokun.

Munster head coach Anthony Foley has recalled Ireland internationals Simon Zebo and Donnacha Ryan for Friday's inter-provincial clash against Ulster at Thomond Park (kick-off 6pm).

New signing Mario Sagario is also in line to make his first appearance for the province.

In total Foley makes seven changes to the starting XV that lost away to Scarlets last Friday night.

James Cronin and Mike Sherry come back in and join BJ Botha in the front row, while in the second row, Dave Foley starts at 4 for the first time this season with Mark Chisholm continuing at 5.

In the back row, captain CJ Stander makes the switch to blindside and Jack O'Donoghue returns at openside while Robin Copeland reverts to number 8.

After featuring twice from the bench in Munster's most recent league encounters, Tomás O'Leary will make his first start since returning to the province in partnering Ian Keatley in the half-backs.

Francis Saili comes back in to start alongside Denis Hurley in the midfield for the first time while the final change comes in the back three and sees returning international Simon Zebo start on the right wing.

Gerhard van den Heever remains on the left wing as does Andrew Conway at full-back.

Having joined the province on a three-month contract, Sagario could feature for the first time this weekend after being named amongst the replacements.

Donnacha Ryan, another World Cup returnee, is also included on the bench.

Munster: Andrew Conway; Simon Zebo, Francis Saili, Denis Hurley, Gerhard van den Heever; Ian Keatley, Tomás O'Leary; James Cronin, Mike Sherry, BJ Botha; Dave Foley, Mark Chisholm; CJ Stander (captain), Jack O'Donoghue, Robin Copeland.

Replacements: Duncan Casey, John Ryan, Mario Sagario, Donnacha Ryan, Jordan Coghlan, Duncan Williams, Rory Scannell, Ronan O'Mahony.

Darren Cave and Paddy Jackson have been named in Ulster's starting XV for the first inter-pro of the season while fellow Ireland player Chris Henry has been included on the bench.

Cave and Jackson made replacement appearances last week in the win over Cardiff Blues as Ulster extended their unbeaten run at Kingspan Stadium to 14 league games.

There are two other changes in the starting team as Neil Doak continues to rotate his squad during a block of 16 consecutive fixtures.

Peter Nelson returns to the side at full-back and is joined in the back three by Craig Gilroy and Andrew Trimble. Paul Marshall and Stuart McCloskey, both of whom scored tries against Cardiff, are retained at scrum-half and inside-centre respectively.

The only change up front sees Andy Warwick replace Callum Black at loosehead prop, joining captain Rob Herring and Wiehahn Herbst in the front row.

Lewis Stevenson and Franco van der Merwe continue their second-row partnership, with Roger Wilson, Sean Reidy and last week's man of the match Nick Williams once again combining in the back row.

Henry, who competed at the Rugby World Cup with Cave and Jackson, will provide cover for the loose forward trio in Limerick. Dan Tuohy has followed the return-to-play protocols after his concussion in the Edinburgh game and will join Henry on the bench.

Paul Rowley, recruited from London Welsh in the summer, is in line to make his first competitive appearance of the season after being named as the scrum-half replacement.

Ulster enter the game in fifth place, two points adrift of third-placed Munster.

Munster were undefeated against Ulster last season, winning 21-20 at Thomond Park and then drawing 23-23 at Kingspan Stadium in May, in two extremely hard-fought encounters.

Ulster have won just once in the Pro12 in Limerick since 2009; a memorable 19-17 success in May 2014.

Ulster: Peter Nelson; Craig Gilroy, Darren Cave, Stuart McCloskey, Andrew Trimble; Paddy Jackson, Paul Marshall; Andrew Warwick, Rob Herring (captain), Wiehahn Herbst, Lewis Stevenson, Franco van der Merwe, Roger Wilson, Sean Reidy, Nick Williams.

Replacements: John Andrew, Callum Black, Ricky Lutton, Dan Tuohy, Chris Henry, Paul Rowley, Ian Humphreys, Sammy Arnold.
