Nigel Owens will referee this year’s Heineken Cup final between Leinster and Ulster at Twickenham on 19 May.

It will be the third time the Welshman has officiated at the showpiece event after been in charge of the 2008 and 2009 finals that saw victories for Munster and Leinster respectively. 

The French duo of Romain Poite and Jerome Garces have been appointed as the touch judges for the .

The match will be Owens' 70th game in charge in European club tournaments.
