Tramore's fixture on New Year's Day has been rescheduled for Sunday, 10 January after a waterlogged track and an adverse weather forecast led to its cancellation.

Fresh entries will close at 12.0 noon on 5 January, with declarations to run to be made by 10.0am on 8 January.

As a result of the rescheduling of Tramore, there will be a distance change to one of the races at Fairyhouse on the same day.

The BoyleSports Irish Grand National Easter Monday Handicap Hurdle will now be run over two and a half miles and not two miles as previously advertised.

Saturday's meeting at Cork was called off on Tuesday due to flooding.

The track was reported to be flooded and with further heavy rain forecast, officials made an early decision to cancel the card.

Next Tuesday's meeting at Bangor was also abandoned due to a flooded track.

The water level is over the top of the running rail in places. Clerk of the course Andrew Morris said: "The river flooded the day after St Stephen's Day and in places it is over the top of the running rail, five feet deep.

"In the past when this has happened it has taken up to two weeks to completely dry out. At this stage we are not aware of the damage it has caused or what debris is underneath.

"We've got no chance of racing so there is no point in letting people make plans or entries, we may as well let them know."

The Duhallow Foxhounds point-to-point fixture at Kanturk in Dromahane, Co Cork is another casualty of the weather.

It was down for Wednesday 30 December but has been cancelled and rescheduled for Saturday 2 January.
