The course and some of the runners who will carry the Olympic torch through the streets of Dublin have been revealed.
The 40 carriers are a mixture of athletes, celebrities and members of the public.
The flame will arrive in the Republic of Ireland at 6:15am on Wednesday 6 June at Carrickarnon on the border of couties Down and Louth.
It will be received by Olympic boxers Wayne McCullagh from Belfast and Michael Carruth from Dublin.
It will then travel by road to Howth where a 16-year-old schoolboy from St Fintan’s High School in Sutton will be the first person to run with the flame.
The torch will then travel to Croke Park where legendary hurler Henry Shefflin will parade it on the skyline of the arena before it's brought a tour of the capital.
The city centre torch relay begins at 9am.
Thirty-nine runners will carry it an average of 300 metres each eventually ending at the bandstand in St. Stephen's Green around midday.
On the way it will take in O'Connell Street, Sherriff Street and the IFSC where it will be carried by Ireland's top female goalscorer and Sheriff Street native Olivia O'Toole
The torch continues through Fitzwilliam Square, the Grand Canal at Harold's Cross and the Christchurch area.
Former soccer international Paul McGrath and former rugby international Shane Horgan and pop duo Jedward will be among the other torch carriers.
All say they are honoured to be chosen to take part in the event which taken place in just over four weeks time.
