Enniskillen rider Richard Britton was killed after crashing at the Ballybunion Road Race in County Kerry today.
The race was abandoned immediately after Britton, whose bike is believed to have seized up, crashed on the first lap of the race.
Britton was a very successful rider, having been double Irish and Ulster champion and having won an international race, the Regal 600cc series four times. He also enjoyed a podium finish at the Isle of Man TT and the Ulster Grand Prix.
Britton, 34, was married and had a five-year-old son.
