The Kilkenny County Board has confirmed that Brian Cody will remain on as Kilkenny hurling manager for the coming season.

Cody led the Cats to their 35th All-Ireland senior hurling title this season, his tenth title as manager.

The James Stephens clubman won three All-Ireland titles as a player, as well as four Leinster titles, during the 1970s and 1980s.

He was appointed as Kilkenny manager in 1998, and led the team to his first title as manager in 2000.

The longest-serving manager in inter-county Gaelic games will take charge for a 17th season in 2015, with his current backroom team of Michael Dempsey, James McGarry and Derek Lyng remaining in place.
