Former Antrim hurler James McNaughton passes away

The death has occurred of the former Antrim hurler James McNaughton aged 51.

McNaughton was a member of the Saffron side that reached the 1989 All-Ireland final against Tipperary. His inter-county career lasted from 1982 to 1993.

McNaughton’s club tenure saw him win seven Ulster titles with Ruairí Óg Cushendall.

He was only recently appointed as joint-manager of the Cushendall senior side.
