Dublin hurling manager Anthony Daly has been handed a timely boost ahead of his side's All-Ireland SHC quarter-final against Limerick with the news that Ronan Fallon will be fit for the game.
Fallon, who suffered a broken metatarsal bone in his foot in April, has come through two training matches over the weekend and is expected to play some part in the quarter-final.
However, Daly revealed that the centre-back may have to settle for a place on the bench.
'Ronan has about three weeks' training done but it's been a long time since the league game against Kilkenny,' Daly told the Irish Times
'He's making significant progress, got through a challenge match against Offaly and played two matches in training at the weekend fairly solidly.
'He'd get quicker faster than a lot of lads but he’ll hardly be able to start and I don't think there is 70 minutes in him yet.'
