Wexford GAA is mourning the passing of another great Gael of the golden era after Michael Collins passed away after a brief illness.
Collins, a distinguished player, captained the Wexford hurlers against Cork in the 1970 All-Ireland Final.
A former Club Chairman with the Rapparees club, Collins won two senior county hurling medals with the Shamrocks club in 1964 when they beat Faythe Harriers and again in 1969 when they scored a victory over Ferns.
His passing is mourned by everyone in the Rapparees club where his death has left a huge void.
Cumann Lúthchleas Gael Loch Garman extend sympathy to his wife and family. Ar Dheis Dé a anam dílis.
