Waterford marched into next weekend's Waterford Crystal Cup semi-finals thanks to a facile win over IT Tralee at Carrickbeg on Wednesday night.
Helped by a 1-06 contribution from Eoin Kelly, the Deise qualified for a 20 January meeting with Davy Fitzgerald's Limerick IT side.
The reigning National League and Munster champions led by 2-06 to 2-02 at half-time and pushed on with John Mullane grabbing the goal of the game with a low, drilled shot.
IT Tralee battled bravely but came up short and were disappointed that a change of venue from Páirc Uí Rinn to Carrickbeg, the home of St Molleran's, added two hours to their journey time.
