Galway have added Niall McInerney to their team of hurling selectors. Manager Noel Lane says the new Championship format means they are likely to have a heavier workload this year. McInerney, was an All Star winner in '75 and '80 and won an All Ireland in '80 when Galway defeated Limerick by 2-15 to 3-09 in the final.
