Tipperary defeated Galway at Birr yesterday to win the All-ireland Intermediate hurling final. Dual player Declan Browne was inspirational for the Premier who won easily by 2-17 to 1-10 at the finish. Browne, a former football All-Star scored a whopping 1-11 of his sides total as Galway were outplayed after the first five minutes. 2-8 to 1-7 up at half-time Tipp outscored the Tribesmen by 9 points to three in the second half.
