Pat Flanagan was ratified as Offaly senior and under-21 football manager at a meeting of the county board on Thursday night.
Flanagan, who enjoyed previous managerial spells at the helm of Sligo and Westmeath, succeeds Emmett McDonnell at the helm of his native county.
McDonnell stepped aside after two years in charge in June.
Declan Farrell and James Stewart have been appointed to Flanagan’s senior backroom team, while Eugene Hyland and Paul Gavin will assist the Clara man with the under-21 side.
As expected, Brian Whelahan will remains in his current role as the Offaly senior hurling manager.
