Niall Carew has been named as Sligo senior and Under-21 football manager for 2015 at a county board meeting this evening.
Carew stood down from his role as Waterford manager following a two-year spell with the Deise last August.
The 40-year-old had previously served as forwards coach for Kildare from 2008-2012, working with Kieran McGeeney.
Carew succeeds Pat Flanagan, who is tipped to be appointed manager of his native Offaly later this week.
